Zakłady Chemiczne „POLICE” SA have made a preliminary registration of produced substances in accordance with provisions of the European Parliament (Ordinance REACH no. 1907/2006). This means that the company may apply transitional provisions and that all products delivered by the company so far may be sold.
A new investment has been started - a modern palletizer, which allows for a much faster packing of fertilizers (60 tonnes per hour), their loading on trucks and, as a result, more efiicient deliveries to customers. The cost of device together with adaptation works is 9 million PLN.
Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA Factory has taken over organization of transport services including the services run in the Port of Police. It will enable to increase - as well as to monitor - the final markets where products from "POLICE" are being supplied. This is strategic decision of the Company, taking into consideration the fact that more and more companies invest its assets in the Police Infrapark
Chemical Company Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA, is the main shareholder of INFRAPARK Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA which has signed agreement with Portuguese investor Prio Biopaliwa Sp z o.o. The agreement includes sale of the law for hereditary tenure of 8 ha land. A company involved in processing raw rape and soybean oils for needs of the fuel industry is to be erected on this land.
New installation for DISTARPOL® production has been officially started. Introduction of this new product makes Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA independent from periodical agriculture demands on urea.
The flue dusts reloading station has been started. Thanks to this investment Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA will not need to pay environmental fees for storing ashes and in consequence will save 0,5 mln PLN per year.
Supervisory Board has accepted Repair Program. Task of the program is to improve situation of the Company and its further development. The first results of the program should be noted already this year.

Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA has signed agreement for building installation for drying iron sulfate. It is planned to be build in the end of 2007. Project of the installation is co-financed by European Union
"Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA" concluded next agreement in the beginning of October with Yara UK Ltd, for sale of 28 000 tons of ammonia value 23,8 mln PLN in September and October. It is already the seventh deal with Yara group in this year.
"Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA" has been invited to participate in project of creating chemical cluster called preliminary "Green space of chemistry". Concentration of companies from the same branch in industrial cluster creates possibility of receiving financial support from European Union for development and implementation of new products by each of the companies.
Recertifying audit has been carried out for conformity with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14 001 as well as supervising audit for Industrial Safety System being in conformity with the Polish Standard PN-N-18001. Evident progress in functioning of managing systems has been noted when the audit was closed.
Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA has started to build installation for production of DISTARPOL® - new product which, according to requirements of European Union, will have to be used in Diesel driven cars. Thanks to this installation the Company wants to enter motorization branch. The Company expects that the first samples of this product will be available on the turn of the first and the second term of the year 2007.
"Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA" has received required acceptance from Supervisory Board to start investment at nitric plant, value of 8 mln PLN .The Company is going to install there so called expander for expanding natural gas. Application of the expander will enable - among other - to decrease production costs of ammonia.
One year has passed since Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA entered the stock exchange. Facts prove that the last 12 months were successful for the Company. The year has ended with very good financial result. Thanks to the result it will be possible for shareholders to collect their dividends already this year.
"Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA" has also announced its entry to the automotive sector with a new product - 32.5% urea solution, which the company will sell under the name of Distarpol. According to European standards the solution shall be applied to heavy lorries with diesel engines to reduce nitric oxide emissions. Building the installation is planned for 2006, and the first product consignment shall be available on the market in the first half of 2007.
In June, the Company received the second Polish Promotion Emblem "Poland Now" in its history. This distinction was awarded to the mineral fertiliser nitric urea.pl and also "GRASS FERTILISER - produced on the basis of urea - long lasting carpet effect". Three years earlier this title was awarded to the POLIFOSKA group of fertilisers.
The 1st of June saw the Employee Retirement Programme introduced at the chemical sector at the Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA plant. The decision to initiate it at Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA followed consultation with the trade unions. The plant retirement contract concerning this had been already signed on the 23rd of December 2005, and on the 6th of May 2006 the Insurance and Pension Fund Supervisory Commission inscribed the Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA programme to the register of employee retirement programmes.
In May the Company completed the 7.5 million PLN investment of computerisation of the power plant. The introduction of the new computerised system is intended to increase efficiency and so reduce costs. The energy blocks of one of the two electricity and heat generation plants were modernised. The new computerised operating system has superseded the less reliable automatic system, which worked till now.
27 of may - The first Board Meeting in Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA to have included the representation of workers-shareholders.
The employees of the Chemical Works "Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA" SA will be able to feel even safer than before. Since Monday, 06.02.06, the BHP (Workplace hygiene and safety) rules employed at the plant are certified to conform to the PN-N-18001 standard and the International OHSAS 18001 standard.
On the 6th of February 2006 the process of issuing shares free of charge to entitled employees began. There were in all over five thousand people entitled to shares, of these two thousand continue to work in the concern. The number of shares given to an employee depended mainly on length of service. For ten weeks employees of the Company and PKO BP Bank Brokerage Department conducted a detailed procedure among the entitled personnel. This process is intended to strengthen the feeling of co-ownership and involvement with the firm. On completion of the share distribution process, on the 18th of April 2006, over 90% of the employees had become co-owners of the Company, in succeeding months the number of entitled persons taking up shares has steadily increased.
Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA formally ceased to be the Sole Shareholder Company of the State Treasury, increase of Company's capital up to PLN 750 million was registered. 80% of shares are held by the State Treasury, 20 % by other shareholders.

On 17th of May, in the eve of the 80th birthday of John Paul II, the participants of the Runners Pilgrimage from Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA to Vatican took part in the General Audience on St. Peter's Square in Vatican.
